Went out with a friend for a chat and lunch on Saturday - saw the carnival in Manchester, and popped in on a bit of live Jazz (not quite my thing, but ok). Sunday, nipped out to do some shoe shopping and to see Batman Begins.
As of last night, I've seen it twice in one week - I saw it again with my sister who commented 'just when you think it can't get any better, it does'.
Almost all the characters are perfectly translated from the comic books, whilst maintaining gritty realism. The special effects are stunning, the film drama rather than action driven. A must buy on DVD!
It's mostly ending in cinemas tonight, but do see it if you have the chance - it's well worth it!
Tim Burton's Batman was excellent, but Christian Bale made the role his own. Batman is Scary, and driven. The action sequences are heavily cut in parts, but that's a minor quibble.
