New year is slowly picking up speed. Fairly misty and miserable day, so visiting friends and tidying is on the agenda.

Also food shopping, as I managed to get back from visiting Lovely People only to discover I'd forgotten to buy food and have finished all my basmati rice - usually unthinkable. There's plenty of stuff in the freezer though, and I tried out Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall's poached egg method last night - works very well.

Anyway, round up of 2005 shortly, but first I'm going to pinch an idea from softfruit
